The Department of Statistics started education in 1993 within the restructured Faculty of Science of Anadolu University, and currently continues education and training within the Faculty of Science of Eskişehir Technical University, which was established with the Law No. 7141 published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425.
The Department of Statistics is located in the Faculty of Science of Eskişehir Technical University building covering a 24000 m2 area, and located in Anadolu University Yunus Emre Campus and continues its educational activities. At least 30% of the courses in the Department of Statistics are taught in the English language and English Preparatory Class is compulsory. Additionally, our department has been accredited by FEDEK (Science-literature, Language, and History-Geography Faculties Curricula Evaluation and Accreditation Association) for the second time for 5 years until September 30, 2023.
The Department of Statistics has an active, a competent, and productive academic staff of 21 faculty members consisting of 5 Professors, 4 Associate Professor Doctors, 5 Assistant Professor Doctors, 2 Instructors, 1 Research Assistant Doctor, and 4 Research Assistants in the following 4 departments: Statistics Theory, Probability Theory and Processes, Applied Statistics and Statistical Information Systems, has a competent and productive academic staff.
